Evelina Tuers is a board certified nurse midwife, women’s health nurse practitioner and registered nurse. After obtaining her nursing degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, Tuers worked as a medical surgical nurse at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. She enjoyed the work, but discovered her passion was in labor and delivery, something she’d experienced during a clinical rotation at UMDNJ. Soon after, she landed her first job in labor and delivery at Saint Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. While there, she went back to school and earned her master’s degree in nursing from Rutgers University.

Tuers became familiar with RMANJ (now Everleap Fertility) while working as a midwife and referring women struggling with infertility. Later, she was having trouble getting pregnant as well, so she made an appointment with RMANJ's Dr. Rybak. Within a year she’d delivered a healthy baby girl.

After such a positive experience, Tuers couldn’t resist the urge to join RMANJ. She soon joined RMANJ’s Englewood office (now Everleap Fertility) where gets to apply her extensive clinical experience in women’s health. As a nurse practitioner, Tuers sees patients, performs morning monitoring ultrasounds and leads procedures such as saline sonograms and endometrial biopsies.

“RMANJ [Everleap Fertility] is a long-standing leader in the fertility realm and I knew this was the path my career was supposed to take,” she said.

Tuers is a preceptor for Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Students, Family Nurse Practitioner Students and Midwife Students at Saint Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. She is also a proud recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation from William Paterson’s Department of Nursing.
