Dr. Kovalevsky specializes in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He was born in the Ukraine and came to the United States as a child. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University in Rhode Island. He then received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. Next, he trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ohio State University in Columbus. Finally, he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Here he also received training in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr. Kovalevsky’s first job after training was at the Jones Institute in Virginia, the place where the first IVF pregnancy in the U.S. was conceived. Here he focused on clinical research and academic work. Next, he worked for 13 years in Delaware helping hundreds of patients with infertility. Then, he moved to Boston where he practiced for 4 years at Harvard Vanguard and Boston IVF (now Everleap Fertility). Finally, he returned to the Delaware Valley and does not plan to ever move again!
Over the years, in addition to his clinical work, he has continued to conduct research and teach medical students and residents. He specializes in all areas or reproductive endocrinology, including assisted reproductive technologies and operative hysteroscopy.
On a personal level, he enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with his family playing board games or watching TV.
