Jason Franasiak, MD, HCLD/ALD (ABB)

Dr. Jason Franasiak was inspired to pursue reproductive medicine by his parents’ dedication to women’s healthcare. His father was an OB/GYN, and his mother was a labor and delivery nurse. “This notion inspired me as a child and continues to do so today,” he says. “Helping people build happy and healthy families is so rewarding.”

Dr. Franasiak is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and is a board-certified High Complexity Laboratory Director in Embryology and Andrology. He serves as Clinical Director and Physician Partner at Everleap Fertility New Jersey and is the Lead Physician of the Marlton clinic and laboratory in South Jersey. He also serves as Medical Director of the Liberty Corner Surgical Center at Marlton.

In addition to his clinical leadership roles, Dr. Franasiak is Associate Professor of OB/GYN at Thomas Jefferson University, Clinical Associate Professor of OB/GYN at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and Clinical Associate Professor of OB/GYN at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is actively involved in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellows.

Dr. Franasiak graduated from the College of William & Mary with a focus in Biology and Biochemistry. At graduation, he was awarded the James Frederic Carr Memorial Cup, presented to the graduate who best represents character, leadership, and scholarship. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Virginia, where he received the Shannon Z. Award for the “most well-rounded” medical student and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, recognizing excellence of character and service to humanity.

He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was elected Education Administrative Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey through the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School fellowship program.

Dr. Franasiak’s clinical and research interests include in vitro fertilization, embryo development, preimplantation genetic testing, reproductive genetics, implantation, embryo transfer, and improving outcomes in assisted reproductive technology. He has been invited to speak nationally and internationally and has authored or contributed to more than 250 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and scientific abstracts.

He serves as an Associate Editor for Fertility and Sterility and Fertility and Sterility Reports and on the Editorial Board of Fertility and Sterility Reviews. He has also served as a reviewer for numerous journals in reproductive medicine and genetics.

Dr. Franasiak is a nationally active leader in reproductive medicine and served as President of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. He currently serves as Immediate Past President of the organization.

Throughout his clinical, research, and leadership work, Dr. Franasiak remains focused on the reason he entered the field: helping patients build families through individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based fertility care.

Expertise

Dr. Franasiak provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for individuals and couples experiencing infertility, including care for diminished ovarian reserve, ovulatory disorders, male factor infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and unexplained infertility. He has particular expertise in in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryo transfer, fertility preservation and egg freezing, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), reproductive genetics, recurrent implantation failure, and complex fertility treatment.

His clinical and research interests also include embryo development and selection, optimizing IVF laboratory techniques, and improving the safety, efficiency, and success of assisted reproductive technologies. He works closely with each patient to develop an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan based on their reproductive goals and unique clinical circumstances.
