Dr. Jason Franasiak was inspired to go into reproductive medicine by his parents’ dedication to women’s healthcare. His father was an OB/GYN, and his mother was a labor and delivery nurse. “This notion inspired me as a child and continues to do so today,” he says. “Helping people build happy and healthy families is so rewarding.”
Dr. Franasiak graduated from The College of William & Mary with a focus in Biology and Biochemistry and, at graduation, was awarded the James Frederic Carr Memorial Cup for the graduate who best represents “character, leadership, and scholarship.” He went on to pursue medicine at The University of Virginia, where he received his medical degree and was awarded the Shannon Z. Award for the “most well-rounded” medical student and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, recognizing “excellence of character and service to humanity.” He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was elected Education Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Franasiak completed his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (now part of Everleap Fertility) in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson fellowship program.
Dr. Franasiak is a board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, board certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist, board certified High Complexity Laboratory Director in Embryology and Andrology, and lead physician of Everleap Fertility’s Marlton Clinic and Lab in South Jersey. He has been invited to speak nationally and internationally and has authored and contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed publications, published chapters, and abstracts. He serves on the Editorial Board for Fertility and Sterility and the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also serves as an Ad Hoc Reviewer for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction Genetics, Human Genetics, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, Human Reproduction, and Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology.
