Nirali Shah Jain

Nirali Shah Jain, MD, is a fertility specialist at Everleap Fertility in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and her bachelor’s degree in neurobiology with a minor in dance from Northwestern University.

Dr. Jain's medical training was driven by a clear aspiration to specialize in reproductive endocrinology. During her undergraduate years, she focused on strengthening her scientific foundation in understanding the human neural network. She then pursued medical school to bridge her research background with translational medicine and patient care. "I discovered my passion at the heart of women's health and aimed to build a career where I could advocate for my patients using the latest research and technology," she says. The field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) perfectly embodies the essence of how she aspires to contribute to her patients and her community.

After medical school, Dr. Jain completed her residency in OBGYN at Weill Cornell/NYP, where she served as co-Chief Resident in her fourth year, and later completed her fellowship in REI at NYU Langone Medical Center. Her research interests include third-party reproduction and oncologic fertility preservation.

During her training and beyond, Dr. Jain has also found that personally connecting with patients is just as important as honing her professional expertise. She loves that she gets to be more than a physician – she gets to be a trusted advisor and advocate– and she draws on her personal experiences with helping friends and family members through their own infertility journeys. “My work is not complete until my patients achieve their goals”, she says.

When getting to know Dr. Jain, patients may be delighted to learn that she is a dancer by hobby and by training and that she and her husband are on their way to hiking on all seven continents. During her medical training, Dr. Jain also completed medical rotations in several different developing countries. These experiences shaped her into the resourceful and determined provider she is today.
