Understand your options for paying for fertility care

The financial side of fertility care can bring a lot of questions. We’re here to help you understand your insurance benefits, expected costs, financing options and available financial resources so you can make informed decisions about your care.

Financial clarity can make the next step easier

Fertility coverage can vary based on your insurance plan, employer, location and the services you need. Some plans may cover testing but not treatment, while others may include treatment or medication benefits with specific limits or approval requirements.

You do not have to navigate those questions alone. Our Financial Coordinators and financial resources can help you understand expected costs, prepare for conversations with your insurer and explore the options available to you throughout treatment.

Insurance

Understand how fertility insurance and benefit coverage work, what your plan may cover and what to confirm before treatment begins.

Financing and financial protection

Explore options that may help you pay over time or provide added financial protection during treatment.

Savings and financial support

Explore grants, medication assistance, self-pay savings, multi-cycle programs and other resources that may help reduce or manage treatment costs.

Start with your insurance plan

Fertility benefits can vary significantly even between people who have the same insurance company. Your specific plan determines what is covered, which providers are in network, what you may pay and what requirements must be completed before treatment. Before treatment begins, use these questions when speaking with your insurer or benefits administrator.

What fertility services are covered?

Ask about consultations, diagnostic testing, IUI, IVF, fertility preservation, genetic testing and medications.

Am I eligible to use my benefits?

Confirm whether your plan has medical, age or other eligibility requirements for fertility treatment.

Who is in network?

Confirm your Everleap Fertility location, physician, laboratory, pharmacy and other third-party providers.

Do I need approval first?

Ask about referrals, prior authorization, required testing and any treatment steps that must occur before another service is covered.

What will I pay?

Ask about your deductible, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximum, fertility benefit maximum and whether medications count toward that maximum.

Financing and financial protection can make treatment costs more manageable

If you’re paying for some or all your fertility care out of pocket, options may be available to help you spread costs over time or provide added financial protection during treatment. Depending on your location and eligibility, options may include Gaia, PatientFi and other partners.

Savings and financial support may help reduce treatment costs

Beyond insurance and financing, some patients may be eligible for programs that help reduce or offset the cost of fertility care. These may include multi-cycle or refund programs, self-pay savings, medication assistance, grants and other forms of financial support. We also partner with nonprofit and community organizations that may help eligible patients access financial assistance for fertility treatment. Availability and eligibility vary by program and location. Your Everleap Fertility financial team can help you understand which resources may be available to you.

Some savings and financial support programs include:

CareShare IVF refund program

Offers eligible patients multiple IVF cycles with a refund provision based on program terms and eligibility requirements.

Multi-cycle savings program

Allows eligible patients to package multiple IVF cycles into one prepaid fee, which may offer savings compared with paying for each cycle separately.

Costco + Sesame fertility savings program

Offers qualifying patients reduced self-pay treatment pricing at participating locations and savings on fertility medications through Costco Pharmacy.

Medication assistance programs

Manufacturer and nonprofit programs may help eligible patients reduce the cost of certain fertility medications.

Family-building grants and charitable assistance

Nonprofit and community organizations may offer grants or other financial assistance to eligible patients to help offset fertility treatment costs.

Help navigating your benefits

At participating locations, additional benefits-navigation resources may be available to help confirm coverage, understand insurance requirements and identify next steps. Your financial team can let you know which support services are available at your clinic.
